When a vibration hour meter fits
A vibration-activated meter is useful when opening or modifying the machine electrical system is undesirable, when equipment types vary, or when a simple retrofit is important. Xhour uses its own battery and can be mounted using adhesive or screws.
- No ignition or external-power connection
- Simpler retrofit across mixed equipment
- Mounting point must transfer consistent vibration
When a wired hour meter fits
A wired meter can provide a direct electrical indication of ignition or another chosen signal. It may be preferred in a new machine design where electrical integration is already planned and the signal precisely represents the operating state to be recorded.
- Direct relationship to the selected electrical signal
- Suitable for planned OEM electrical integration
- Requires wiring, power, and installation access
Choose based on the operating state
The best meter is the one that accurately represents the activity you need to measure. Test vibration-based installations across the full work cycle, and define wired activation signals carefully so idle, standby, and auxiliary operation are handled as intended.
